Misukanis & Odden is a fast-growing Minneapolis-based online marketing agency with a great opportunity for an experienced Marketing Writer to join our team of dedicated, client-focused professionals.
The perfect person for this role has significant writing experience, specifically with blogging, direct email promotions, online public relations, social media content development, client success stories, and other types of promotional copy.
This person is also extremely detail-oriented and research-focused and should enjoy spending time researching. They must also be able to think strategically in a results-driven environment to benefit our clients.
Preferred Skill Set
Daily responsibilities of this team member will include:
1. Executing timely copywriting tasks, which clearly convey client value propositions, and call prospects to action.
- Creating content to benefit our clients' rankings, links and brand awareness, such as:
- Blog posts
- Product features
- Articles
- Case studies
- Email promotions
- Press releases
- Social media promotions
- Etc.
2. Performing significant research that serves as proof-points for all copy being written.
- Researching online for a variety of resources
- Blogs
- Directories
- Online publications
- Social networking sites
- Etc.
3. Ability to perform a volume of writing tasks for a variety of disparate writing tasks, including B2B and B2C.
- Responsible for timely execution of
- Draft copy
- Final copy
- Keep account teams apprised of copy status
- Conveying to promotions team when copy is ready for distribution
- Consulting with clients to identify value propositions
- Interviewing
- Etc.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Prior experience with:
- Significant amount of copywriting
- Online marketing practices
- Website best practices
- Blog best practices
- Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Superior
- Organizational skills
- Written communication abilities
- General knowledge and/or understanding of
- A collaborative agency environment
- Task Management
- Reporting on task activity, status and completion
- Recommending future copy concepts
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience
- Significan copywriting experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Mass Communication or related field
- Experience with Microsoft® Outlook, Excel, and Word
